As dermal fillers rapidly apporoach the same popularity as teeth whiteneing, you may be left wondering, what are dermal fillers?

A dermal filler is any product that can be placed under the skin to shape and volumise a given area. The most commonly used dermal filler in medical aesthetics are hyaluronic acid fillers.

Hayluronic acid is a naturally occuring substance which is found at the cellular level. It's key property is its ability to draw in moisture and add hydration.

These gel-like products can be used in a vast number of ways, including:

Restoring age-related volume loss in a given area
Adding hydration which results in healthier looking skin
Providing support to weakened facial structures
Contouring the face to form a more youthful appearance
Enhancing fine details such as the border of the lip
Fill in areas, softening the appearance of creases & folds

The most popular sites for filling include the lips, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, perioral lines, cheeks and chin.

At DEJAMO, you will undergo a thorough consultation and examination with Dr. Ali to assess whether you are a suitable candidate or not. If we proceed, you will have a topical numbing cream applied and injections will last anywhere from 10-45 minutes. You will be given a client information and post-care handout after treatment and will have a review 2 weeks later to assess the results. The final results are usually noticeable 10-14 days after treatment and last anywhere from 6-12 months.

Anti-wrinkle Injections

Botulinum toxin is produced by the bacterium: Clostridium Botulinum.

It is then heavily refined, diluted and injected into a given muscle in extremely small amounts.

It causes relaxation of the injected muscle and relieves the lines which are normally created by its contraction.

It is used most commonly to relieve the wrinkles created by facial expression. Typical areas include horizontal forehead lines, frown lines, crows feet and brow lifts.

Additional uses of botulinum include: gummy smile, bunny lines, perioral lines, downturned corners of the mouth, pebble chin, lip flips and the Nefertiti neck lift (neck slimming).

There are a number of medically indicated injections which Dr. Ali is pleased to offer At DEJAMO. These include treatments for: excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis), teeth grinding / jaw slimming (bruxism) and shoulder stress treatment / 'Trap Tox'.

The injections take a maximum of 20 minutes, with final results appearing after 10-14 days and lasting 4-6 months.

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are more commonly known as 'injectable moisturisers' and have revolutionised the way we treat skin.

They contain a combination of natural substances including hyaluronic acid, amino acids and antioxidants.

The above substances work together to reduce laxity, add hydration, stimulate collagen and improve the texture of your skin.

They can be used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, pigmented areas and dryness.

At DEJAMO we offer a number of different skin boosters, including the industry leading 'Profhilo' and 'Seventy Hyal'. They can be used on the face, neck, decolletage, hands, stomach etc.

Treatment takes around 20 minutes but may be longer depending on the area being treated. You should expect some redness and swelling for the first 24 hours as the booster is injected just under the skin.

Results are usually visible after 5 days but in order to achieve optimal results, product manufacturers advise having a course of at least 2 sessions.

Polynucleotides

Nucleofill is an industry leading polynucleotide bio-stimulant gel-based injection.
